Update, Downdate, Leftdate, Rightdate

Been a while, so i'll lay it out.

No updates because nothing has happened, if i had wiring diagrams, battery and 0 gauge it'd be turn key in a day.......instead its for sale on some local forums, will go up on carsales sometime next week i'm thinking.

Been sitting on it really since my job went blergh and really i have just lost the drive and motivation to finish this one off, maybe with a job and having been able to get my welder and other gear it may have been a different story....but i feel like its the right time to let someone finish what i started and very nearly finished. The whole build never felt 'right' for me for any period of time and every step of the way i seriously questioned whether i was doing the right thing, whether i was going too far.......and as per usual i should've listened to my heart 6 months earlier......but i don't regret it so much as i've learnt more than i ever thought i would from the experience.

Haven't even looked at it for two weeks now, even forget its in the garage most of the time.

So this is definately not the end, i will be coming back better again but i want to head back to the original idea - to have a street car that i love that can carve up the twisties, yet i don't have to stress about getting hammered by wonderful law enforcement. Even though i do love drifting.....i can't put my cars through that..all it ends up doing is making very cool cars very tired very quickly and then they are never the same.

Most importantly is it must be something that 1) i modifying slowly, not try and do everything in a rush, so must never sit idle for weeks on end "waiting for a part" and 2) i have to know with all my heart i won't reach my now infamous '1.5-2yr ownership period' where i grow tired of it and feel i need a change. Because of that last criteria the vast majority of cars that i 'like' are scratched off the list because i can't see myself enjoying them for any length of time, that and i'm getting a little over buying a car every couple of years, i have to relearn everything for a new car and the constant money going out is not cool either.

I think if you go back a few pages you will notice a "Kanjo/Kaido Racers" video out of Japan that i put up, i'd mentioned this to a handful of people but this 'way' of modifying definately appeals a great deal, ignore the street racing and focus on how they build their cars, unless it improves on a cars characteristics then its not used and they are all built with street driving being the primary target.

I will update this more as i work through things, but needless to say i have quite a few other commitments to see through once i'm back on my feet so unfortunately the truck will have to suffice until everything is back to the way it was beforehand.
