Well since its meant to be a blog about my various motor vehicles i better update even though reading your eyelids is more fun.

Waiting on confirmation of what needs to be done in compliance (its a non-runner so whether just dropping a CA in it is adequate or not - cross fingers i know this week sometime but won't hold my breath). After having heard stories of a mate of mine getting pinged for the most ridiculous shit known to man bringing his 34 through compliance i'd lie if i said i wasn't worried the cost to get it through will completely kill its progress afterwards.

Anyway plan revolves loosely around running an S14 setup, lifting the subframe when the fresh one gets fitted, under rad intercooler and more or less get it running in fairly standard form outside of the 5 stud swap to get it through rego then break the world record for fastest descent back down to earth. Plan then is just to street it till i have enough coin put aside to swap out to adjustable gear, 2 way and paint.

Not bothering to pen dates, shit is just way too unpredictable, job front hasn't improved either but more or less up for anything now that doesn't involve things in my bottom or man things in my mouth as getting the sil on the road is now the one and only priority for me.

Weather has been shit, haven't been able to paint

Went to bunnings for degreaser (got vouchers see) was like this through crowds -



ended up walking out with nothing, the good bunnings went underwater in the floods...lamesauce.



then i pulled some more gear out of storage, pulled my exhaust apart and grabbed my (uncut) reo (shit is as rare as a triple rainbow)so i can clean it up while i wait for the next couple of weeks before compliancing to roll by.

Took a couple pics of the 1j as well (ready for eoi or selling) and noticed that the turboes didn't match the motor, so either its lived a previous life as a single or blew its original twins.....either way i'm glad i'm moving away from it.

Anyway think i explained earlier than the 1j is getting ditched because things just aren't working out and need to start fresh for my own good as well as less headaches and fuck arounds by workshops that shouldn't be in business as anything but wreckers.

I've never been a fan of running piping in through the front of the guards and down under nor cutting out the headlight supports to go under the rad (even though its my preferred choice) then i stumbled upon this gem.



Had never thought of it because of the little room straight 6s in sils offer between the belts and the thermo fans but with an SR it gives you room to space the rad back and sandwich the intercooler between the rad support and radiator - keeps the cops off my back about holes, looks 10x cleaner and cements (in my mind) that i'm heading the right way.
